Q: How are the proceeds donated to my organization?
A: Once we receive your device, we send your item to our team of engineers to be fully repaired, then they are recycled or sold to a 3rd party. At the end of the month, a check is sent to the organization you've selected.
Q: What if my device is broken?
A: Working or non-working, we'll still take your device! And we'll still make a donation to your organization of choice.
Q: Can I only donate iPods and Phones?
A: Currently, we are only taking iPods and cell phones. We'll soon be adding other electronic devices.
Q: Why is my phone not listed? And how can I donate?
A: Your phone may not be listed because it may be too old. :-) However, you can still donate your phone! Just select an organization, click on cell phones and at the button of the page, then click on 'Your Cellular Phone Not Listed?". Fill out the quick form and your donation will be made.
Q: Is shipping FREE?
A: Yes, at the end of the donation process, there will be a button where you can download a FREE shipping label.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: Yes, at the end of the donation process, there will be a button where you can download a tax receipt.
Q: My organization is not listed, how do I donate to them?
A: Send us an email (info@myplaceofdonation.org) and we'll contact your organization and begin the process so that you can make your donation to them.
Q: How do I add my organization to My Place of Donation?
A: Click on Charities and go to 'Sign Up My Organization' and fill out the quick and easy form. We'll review your application and have you up on our site for your members to begin donation!
