The world’s unused electronics are collecting dust and filling our landfills with hazardous materials. We are committed to bringing purpose back to those unwanted devices, and facilitating charitable giving’s to organizations in need. Our goal is to increase global well being.

My Place of Donation is committed to creating a socially conscious and greener world.

 

My Place of Donation has created an online destination that works closely with national and local organizations to find unique ways to fundraise for their cause.  But how you ask? Every year more people are switching to new cell phones and iPods, while leaving their old devices in drawers “trapping” those funds. We give those people the opportunity to donate their devices to be reused or recycled to make a difference and better our world. Through the reuse and recycling of unused electronic devices we are able to release “trapped funds” and give the proceeds to organizations in need.  Our hope is to make cell phone and iPod donations the social norm while increasing awareness of worthy causes.

 

My Place of Donation has a team of engineers that carefully sort and test every device received.  Each device is carefully evaluated to be properly recycled or refurbished in order to maximize the amount of funding for our partnering organizations. All of these devices contain hazardous material and the irresponsible dumping devastates our environment. With this in mind, we properly recycle those devices, improving the way we care for our planet and supporting our zero landfill policy.  We feel it's important to only use local recycling facilities here in the United States that support 'e-stewards' standards, guaranteeing greener and more responsible practices.
